We make our own choices in life and to a great degree we are where we are and what we are as a result of choices that we made along the way. What we choose now will make a big difference in the quality of the rest of our lives.
My goal is to provide you with information to motivate and help you to take control of your life, make good lifestyle choices, and encourage you to make your medical, financial and legal advisor a part of your team in life and in retirement.
Extensive scientific studies on nutrition and nutritional supplementation have demonstrated that many disorders associated with aging can be avoided, or at least significantly reduced, by following simple nutritional guidelines, exercising and avoiding behaviors that increase our risk. The earlier such programs are begun, the more effective they are. Nutritional supplements do not cure or prevent illness and disease. They only give the body the extra nutrition it needs to take care of itself! A healthy lifestyle starts with good nutrition.
A program of good health, positive attitude, stress management and medical care can reduce disease and complications of disease at any age. Our goal should be to have good emotional, spiritual, and physical health. Longevity is desirable but not without a quality of life that comes with good health. With good health longevity is a blessing, without good health a long life can be a painful burden.
Self-study of available literature and counsel from professional consultants and advisors can improve your quality of life. Additionally, learning to listen to what your own body is telling you and then sharing that with your physician will make it possible for your medical team to make the right choices to enhance your quality of life.
